Cleaning A Scary Microwave....

I always dreaded cleaning out the microwave. You'd think it would be enough to motivate me to cover that plate! Apparently not.

So when you or your darlings can't be bothered to prevent the mess? Try this to clean it up...


Squeeze the juice of a lemon into a microwave safe bowl and microwave it for 1 minute. Then easily wipe out whatever may have been crusted on. Works for me!

    Ya know...LOL, they make these microwave plate covers specifically for this reason...LOL. :) I highly recommend them... *wink*.

    I actually have one.... but it's plastic and I have a strict no plastic in the microwave rule. so I deal with the mess. :)

    I did something similar when I needed to clean out my microwave. I filled a bowl with water and about a tablespoon of white vinegar, and microwaved it for five minutes.
